Spelling & Grammar

I just have to get this off my chest.

I’m not a spelling or grammar Nazi. But I can not believe how adults, who I assume have at least a high school education, can’t spell simple words right.

Today at work I got this long string of e-mails regarding a complaint from a resident at SFU. And I saw sentences like…

"…that bus’s continue to disobey the MVA."
"…let’s have a meeting about this sooner rather then later."

Since when is the plural of "bus" "bus’s?"
And you want a meeting sooner rather then later? Then later what? Then later we all went out for coffee?

Spell properly people! I can’t take your complaint seriously when you tell me bus’s are speeding in your area, ok?
